Desi Tur Dal (Unpolished)

Unpolished Desi (White Skinned) Toor Dal. Also called as 'Arhar Dal',  'Tur Dal' in Hindi, 'Kandi Pappu' in Telugu and Red Gram in English.

Seed - White Skinned Desi Variety. In Telangana, Farmers grow this variety mainly for their home consumption and not to sell in market owing to its low yield and rich taste. Hence not easy to find in market.

Semi-Organic - Grown without fertilizers 

Traditionally Processed - Soaked, Squeezed and Sun-Dried for multiple days and milled using simple machinery

Unpolished Dal - Retains most of the original nutritive content and taste. It takes lesser time to cook as compared to polished dal retaining its nutrients and natural taste.
